I blogged for a very special blog today – The Hip Urban Girl’s Guide – about an event I attended last week to support a hospice that treats patients (men and women) with eating disorders. A profound and not-often-talked-about cause.
Sure, we may talk about eating disorders in the celebrity realm or even about “a friend of a friend…” we heard had “an issue with food”, but it’s a painful disorder that is rampant in our world, and it goes beyond just the physical. I have friends who have been in that very place.
My post is about the event itself, not the disorder, but I hope you’ll show a little support by giving it a read and “share” with a friend.
About Hip Urban Girl’s Guide: This blog is just five months fresh and is already making a huge splash in the Toronto social scene. In fact, it’s been featured in the media and has garnered a great following of young, professional women in the city. The blog is run by a good friend, whom I met in high school, Lisa Ng and her business partner, Wendy.
Lisa is a strong and motivated entrepreneur who I often turn to for advice on my own business ventures. She’s in the midst of a career switch, from successful DJ to blog maven. Give this link a click and show a little support for young women (and men) making a difference.
Love,
