a thought on timely story pitches.

When the story is timely, re-pitching it is not an easy decision to make – what if they get back to me and I’ve moved on? ….answer: their loss, not yours.

I’ve asked this same question, had to make this same decision and learned the hard way. But I think it’s fair to say that give it a day, max, if the story is timely. Otherwise, wait 30 days to six weeks for a reply to your pitch. If you don’t hear back, either re-pitch (most magazines welcome this) or move on with your story. Some one else might want to listen to what you have to share.

(thank you, Martin for your question this a.m. – hope this helps).

  1. Hi, Neat post. There is a problem along with your website
in web explorer, would test this? IE still is the market chief and
a good part of other folks will pass over your great writing due to this problem.

  2. Please let me know if you’re looking for a arcltie writer for your site. You have some really good arclties and I believe I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I’d absolutely love to write some content for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please blast me an e-mail if interested. Thanks!|Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your arclties? I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything. But think about if you added some great images or video clips to give your posts more, pop ! Your content is excellent but with pics and clips, this site could undeniably be one of the very best in its field. Superb blog!|Fascinating blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere? A design like yours with a few simple adjustements would really make my blog shine. Please let me know where you got your design. Many thanks|Hi would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using? I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a difficult time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. Hope you get the issue fixed soon. Kudos|With havin so much content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright violation?
