i don’t normally do this…

….but i believe strongly in the power of thoughts: my grandmother is in the hospital today. her body is failing her. my family may not have much time left with her. i feel so sad. whatever the outcome, it would mean so much to me to know that your thoughts (and prayers, if you use them) are with my grandmother, just for a moment or two. i know it can’t change the fact of the matter – that we might lose her soon – but just knowing that your thoughts have been on her, even for a second, will mean so much. in her wildest dreams, my grandmother – an immigrant to this country nearly 50 years go – would never have imagined having so many “strangers” sending her so much love and peaceful wishes in her last days. thank you so much.

Update: I’d like to thank you all for your comments and emails of good wishes and peace for my grandmother. I feel terrible for my mother most of all, who will be losing her mom. My grandmother is hanging in there and is alert. For her and our family, each day she’s here does make us feel lucky. thank you again for caring and supporting.

  1. The only reason that you need even ask is that I wouldn’t know that you needed the positive thoughts otherwise.
