The other day I suggested you go on over to read some Seth Godin. Did you? No pressure, I just really think you’d dig him. I start my day, every day, by reading his blog posts on my BlackBerry. I look forward to them. They motivate me.

So, now I’d like to direct you to Penelope Trunk (heard of her?). She’s a sought after career expert, founder of three start-ups, and a prolific blogger.

Penelope’s posts are sometimes controversial because she blends her personal life with career advice (she once blogged about how her abortion related to the workplace and has been open about her divorce and even a one-night stand she had with a stranger she met on an airplane after returning from a business trip – she makes it all blend with career-talk. Fascinating.)

After reading an archive post of Penelope’s yesterday, I emailed my sister, 25, this:

if you read anything today, it should be this. what you’re feeling about work is normal, but you will never find the perfect job. think instead, “what kind of life do I want to live?” and have your job match that.
