Every now and then I try to post something about the writing business that I think might be interesting or helpful to a reader. Glad to know this one resonated with you. Second of all, you’re inspiring and I love your website. I’m working on my own portfolio (wwww.cherylmadliger.wordpress.com) as I’m applying to grad school. I’ve worked as a fitness instructor for almost four years and I love quotes, work as an editor at my university’s paper and had a stint at lululemon so I can scarily relate to you!

I found your site/this post by searching “Oxygen Magazine internships” and I think I found something better than the info in was hoping for, even! Thanks for the inspiration.

I love this! Wow did this make me feel fired up to go apply for jobs at magazines! In fact, believe it or not (and anyone who’s seen me in person would not believe it), when I was graduating high school, my biggest DREAM JOB was to work for a fashion magazine. Now I realize I’m obviously not the right candidate for that, but something about the pressure and deadline-driven atmosphere seems to right for me.

Great advice, dispensed in the loveliest way imaginable — as usual, madam!

Great read, I should consider writing something like that about graphic design.
I also would like to add, that I am glad to see you happy with what you do Sandy.
It still surprises me how many people hate their work these days.
