Dear lovely, wonderful folks who kindly stop into read this little ‘ol blog every day (or while you’re procrastinating at work), this week I emailed my friends (actual verbiage below, typos and all) and now, I send it to you, my virtual friends. Email me or drop a comment with your replies – you’ll see what I mean.
I really would love to get to know you all a little better, beyond your blogs and comments. If you like this idea, then pass it on. A good idea is only great once shared.

Dear friends,
Word up.
So that you know, I’m emailing everyone I’ve been thinking of recently, for one reason or another. You’ve crossed my mind. I’ve recently seen you or we haven’t talked in a while. And before you think, ‘what’s wrong with this chick?’ I’ll assure you that nothing is wrong. I just wanted to reconnect.
Now it’s your turn.
Shoot me back an email and tell me one to three things going on with you. Tell me the best, biggest things that you can’t stop talking about. Or maybe you’ve just been dying to tell someone this one thing – either way, here’s your chance to spill your guts. This will take you FIVE MINUTES but keep a smile on my face all week.
Here’s a snapshot of what’s going down with me (hey, only fair to dish my dirt, too, right?)
1. Yoga in Motion. This is the charity yogathon I co-founded in 2007 to help raise $$ for breast cancer. My mom, a survivor, was my inspiration. On my donation page is a story about why I co-founded the charity — I believe knowing the root of people’s actions and passions is important, which is why I posted it there. If you can pitch in a few bucks to support the charity, great, I’d love that and thank you. If not, I’d love it even more if you’d join my team and yogathon with me…? No experience required.
You can find my personal donation page and story here.
2. My blog: this is quite possibly one of the biggest projects in my life this year. If you haven’t read my little ‘ol blog, I invite you to. I’m documenting my last year before 30. It’s a milestone year, so they say, which is why I decided to chronicle my life as I cross everything off of my Birthday List. I’ve made a list like this since I was a teenager, but this is the first time I’ve ever really talked about it. My Birthday List has brought me everything I’ve ever wanted. I kid you not.
Since I started the blog, I’ve received emails from strangers who have started their own Birthday Lists. I can’t tell you what this connection with virtual strangers has done for me. Inspiration is the greatest medicine, especially when someone loves your dose.
You can see my blog here.
3. On the lighter side of things, I don’t have my first grey hair yet, but am checking every day. Seriously. Ask Rob. Early grey runs in my family and I’m keeping a hawk eye on it, like brown on rice, baby.
Ok, I dished my three, now you dish yours.
Thinking of you,
sandy
